Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep
This morning there was a wonderful segment on the Today Show about NILMDTS.
( you may view it here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/23481435#23481435 )
I know most of you who read this blog know how dear this organization is to me. It was almost 2 years ago that I first signed up to volunteer, then becoming an Area Coordinator in fall of 2006.It has been one of the most difficult, yet most rewarding things I have ever done in my life.
Please watch the video to learn more about this organization.
If you know of anyone who may need our services, please don't hesitate to contact me or any other volunteer listed on the site. You may also contact Jamie Weiss, who Co-Coordinates this area at (865)405-9876.
If you are a photographer, I would love to talk with you about upcoming training for photographers in this area. ( April 16th).
In 2007, we did over 5o sessions in the Knoxville Area. We had 4 calls last week, alone.
Unfortunately, there is a huge need for volunteers and donations on a regular basis, here, and all over the country.
I pray that you will never need our services, but if you do, I am so thankful that it is here for you.
There is no greater sorrow than the loss of a child, and this is one way to " help aid them in their healing, bring hope to their future, and honor their child. It is through remembrance that a family can truly begin to heal."
Thank you to everyone who has made it this far into this long post.
As many of you know, March 31st would be my son's 5th birthday. April 2nd will be his 5th year in Heaven. As a Mommy who has walked this path, I can promise you, this organization makes a difference in parent's lives that will be with them forever. It is one of the only tangible items they will have of their child until they see them again in Heaven.
Blessings to all of you,
Lori

Announcing a
Book Drive to benefit
The Mission of Hope
Please look for details coming soon! Here is a little bit off information:
During the month of April, we will be having a book drive for new and gently used children's books. This will be given to The Mission of Hope (http://www.missionofhope.org/ ) to be given to the children in rural Appalachia.
This will be the 1st (hopefully annual) Book Drive to be done in memory of Jackson Walker.
I will be posting much more about this next week, but after writing about him, thought I would go ahead and let you know.
