ARMSTRONG, BOB WELCH - age 78 of Knoxville passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 at St Mary's Medical Center. He was a Methodist, veteran of the US Navy, and former owner of Rowe Transfer. Preceded in death by parents, Sidney and Clara Armstrong. Survivors: wife, Gwen Armstrong; daughters, Terry, Shannon and Amy Armstrong; sons, Sidney and Leedy Armstrong; step children, Donna Williams, Allison Williamson and Kevin Waters; brother, Sam Armstrong and wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Jonathan, Ruthie, Alicia and Tristan; special grandson and fishing buddy, David Parker; two great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Anderson officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 A.M. Wednesday at Asbury Cemetery for the interment at 10:00 A.M. Pallbearers: Paul and Jordan Williams, Jonathan and Sidney Armstrong, Kevin Williamson and Kevin Waters.
